United Airlines inks sponsorship deal for Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon in China

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series is headed to China, and United Airlines is going with it.

The Chicago-based airline said today it has inked an agreement with Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series parent San Diego-based Competitor Group Inc. (CGI) to become the title sponsor of the first-ever Asian event in the marathon series in Chengdu, China, a second-tier Chinese market that United Airlines serves nonstop from its trans-Pacific gateway at San Francisco International Airport.
