The inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Cleveland Half Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2013.
“It’s a natural partnership to combine the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series with the nostalgia of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the City of Cleveland. While running a race may be the focus of our events, participants have truly come to love and expect impressive musical performances along the course and at the finish line to encourage them and celebrate the day’s accomplishments,” said Peter Englehart, Chairman of CGI. “We anticipate that runners from near and far will appreciate all that Cleveland has to offer, reveling in the experience of live rock music infused into a high-spirited road race.”
The new half-marathon will start downtown at the Rock Hall, an iconic landmark that educates visitors, fans and scholars about the history and continuing significance of rock and roll music. Registration for the Cleveland event is open at Competitor.com, with a special entry fee of $55 for the first 500 runners.
