In the wake of the tragedy on Patriots Day 2013, Run Now assembles running industry partners and competitors alike to call on runners at every level to recommit to the spirit of running and to be inspired to donate, participate and share experiences. The Run Now initial launch partners include Competitor Group, U.S. Road Sports & Entertainment Group, Brooks Running Company, MapMyFitness, Transamerica Life Insurance Company, Running Specialty Group and the Independent Running Retailers Association (IRRA). The Run Now coalition has launched RunNow.com. The website will become the hub of information on volunteering, participating and sharing all of the activities that demonstrate the solidarity of the running community.
Competitor Group Announces Executive Appointments

- Scott Dickey has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dickey was previously President and Chief Operating Officer;
- Steve Gintowt will take on the additional role of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Gintowt will also continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer; and
- Peter Englehart will continue as the Company’s Chairman and in his long-term role as an Operating Partner of Falconhead Capital.
“Since the company’s formation over four years ago, we set out to develop a superior management team to lead the direction and expansion of CGI,” said David Moross, Chairman of Falconhead Capital. “Our success in large part is due to the team of dedicated employees we have recruited and retained as the engine of our organization. Mr. Englehart added, “Over the past four years, we have achieved tremendous operational and fiscal milestones, as we built an industry leading media and event entertainment company. Mr. Dickey joined CGI in 2008 and brought a brand of leadership and expertise that he developed over a 20-year career of managing high-profile global businesses. He was previously the President of Transworld Media, a former division of Time Warner, where he led the growth and multimedia expansion of the world’s leading action sports media company. Mr. Dickey has also held other top executive posts at K2 Inc., The Walt Disney Company and the National Basketball Association. As President of CGI, he has been instrumental in leading the Company’s operations and global expansion, from 16 events in 2008 to more than 58 in 2012, with the flagship Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series now operating in 27 distinct markets.
Prior to joining CGI in 2008, Mr. Gintowt was the Managing Director and CFO of Triathlete Magazine, the largest triathlon media property in the world. His 30-year career includes co-founding Active Europe Networks Ltd and Senior Executive positions with Gemplus, Unisys, Ericsson and General Electric.
